My name is Amada Allende, I will be graduating soon from Bronx Collegiate Academy and I have learned a lot from Lamarr Womble, my dream director. I can honestly tell you that when I entered high school, I had many fears that I had to be on my own and just focus on academics. I didn’t think I would have any guidance for those next four years. I couldn’t focus on my passion (photography) which unfortunately I lost interest in. Lamarr Womble entered my school during my sophomore year. He introduced himself as the dream director. I thought he was genuine about it but I didn’t have hope until he kept asking me questions about my passion and who I am as a person. Lamarr has pushed me to see my potential and has taught me how to practice leadership and interpersonal skills that I need in the future. I will be going to college to major in hospitality. Previously, my passion was being a photographer but now I found out what I am really capable of. I want to make others feel comfortable and be able to communicate with people, even though I still find some sort of solitude in my life. Lamarr taught me to be myself and to never limit my options, something I did when I was 14 years old. I will be going to Monroe College to do what I love! I appreciate Lamarr’s honest feedback and his full support throughout my tough years of high school. Every year I saw myself changing and it was the greatest feeling ever. Every year I found myself loving myself more, something I’m still working on. Now I can be true to myself with no doubts.
