Some of you may know that we split our time between the beautiful French Alps and Gower Peninsula.  We have hosted courses in both locations - tailoring cookery days/weekends to suit the group. These unique experiences are perfect for special occasions and make fantastic gifts.  
We can also host courses for those with specific dietary requirements and have already run some fantastic vegetarian and gluten free days.  We recently prepared a picnic for a group participating in the Gower Walking Festival - take a look at the photos below!

One of our most popular recipes on the course is the freshly made focaccia.  Fancy making your own?  Here's the recipe - we'd love to see the results so please share them with us via Instagram or Twitter... 

350g white bread flour
1/2 sachet of dried yeast
2 tbls olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
30g pitted black or green olives
150ml warm water
Coarse fleur de sel or Maldon salt for the top
Chopped, fresh rosemary

Put the flour, salt, yeast, sugar and oil into a mixer with the warm water.  Mix for 3 to 4 minutes.  Leave to rise for about an hour, then beat vigorously.  Roll out the dough to about 1/2 cm and place on a baking tray.  Leave to rise again for another 30 minutes and make some indentations with your thumb (for the olives).  Brush generously with olive oil then sprinkle with rosemary and salt.  Place the olives in the indentations then cook for 20 mins at 200 degrees.  Enjoy!  

 
We organised a picnic for the Gower Walking Festival... which we think everyone enjoyed!  We love living on the Gower and it was a pleasure to host visitors from all across the UK who were super impressed with the views.  Take a look at some of the photos below.

In 1987, Kate was lucky enough to work with renowned Chef Albert Roux.  They visited Roux at Parliament Square earlier this month for lunch with Albert - what a fantastic experience.
