Important Marketing Director Update:

Heidi Sandstrom, our marketing director, has resigned her marketing duties and council has decided to eliminate this paid position.

Heidi will continue on for 4-5 hours/month to keep our web site updated.  She did an excellent job designing our web site. We are grateful for her work on this and appreciate her for keeping it current as we move forward.

Council would like the entire congregation to be engaged in marketing our building for community use. So, if you are connected with a non-profit or for-profit group in the area, please let Pastor Durk know.

Capital Appeal Update:

Thanks to everyone who went through an interview with Michael Davy for the feasibility study in preparation for our Fall Capital Appeal. Also, thanks goes out to all who filled out surveys for feedback as well.  The results were very positive for Cross in terms of our membership's perspective on our mission and how we are doing as a congregation.

If you would like to read the entire report, please stop by the front office to look it over.

Your Good Gift is a very good gift, indeed.  With resources like seedlings and seminary courses, vaccinations and vegetable gardens, Bibles and blankets, you're equipping God's people - around the world and around the corner - with what they need to live abundant lives.

Empower Tanzania
(RE: WELCA $500.00 Donation)

"Once again, we reach out with grateful hearts! We were so thrilled to see your most recent donation.  My goodness! On behalf of all of us at Empower Tanzania, I want to thank you again for your incredible generosity.  As you have witnessed over the last months, we believe in empowering the people we work with in rural Tanzania. Part of what makes our work come alive is our expectation that those we reach contribute something of value towards the projects we do.  Not surprisingly, we've found that our Tanzanian friends are incredibly smart, resourceful, and willing to work hard.  What they lack are means, but thanks to communities like yours, we can help them along and impact incredible change that provides continued growth and opportunity for generations.
We appreciate your continued support of the work being done in rural Tanzania.  We received your donation of $500.00 on 03/18/19.  We are thrilled with our relationship with the good people of Cross Lutheran and are grateful for your generosity."

~ Kindly, Leslie Klipsch, Director of Communications, www.empowertz.org

Herald of Faith - Honduras
(RE: WELCA $1000.00 Donation; Men's Group 350.00 Donation)

Gift personally delivered by Steve Smart

Dear WELCA,
"Thanks so much for your gift to Herald of Faith for Maria to help young women learn to sew.  Your gift will help her get the villages to instruct girls.  It will also help a couple of "graduates" get a new sewing machine.  Your gifts go a long ways to continue helping these young ladies obtain income to support themselves and often a young family too.  Steve Smart shares that your team does a great job of helping many others.  Please keep up the great work.  May you all be blessed as you bless others."
~ Thank again, Dave
