FINALS 5

One snap and the Warriors are hungrier than ever.

Hello Lazies.

It was a fingertip from Draymond Green at the last second of Monday’s Game 5 to deny the Toronto Raptors their first NBA championship, at least for now. But like Danny Green from the Raptors said, “It shouldn’t come down to the last clip. Obviously, disappointing.”

But Game 6 is here, at what will be now ‘officially’ the last ever game played at Oracle Arena. To me, I feel that the Warriors have got a lot of pressure mounting on their shoulders at the moment. It’s their last ever game at their stadium, their dynamite player Kevin Durant is now out, and it’s a do or die match for their dynasty. Wow.

On the other hand, can Toronto bounce back from the gut-wrenching loss on home court? Can Leonard keep up his unbelievably consistent post-season numbers? And who’s the other player that will show up besides Leonard?

The FiveThirtyThree NBA predictions have the Raptors winning tonight 83%-to-17%. That’s a huge difference, and I assume the Warriors numbers went down dramatically from Durant's injury. But statistics don’t really show the full picture. The Warriors are now hungry for that last win, and it will take a momentous effort for the Raptors to close it out tonight.

Catch you Monday.

Kevin Durant is short a limb. Kevon Looney’s ribs are splayed open like a blooming onion. Andre Iguodala has rocks in his shoes. The Warriors need two more wins, and medicine is not on their side. DeMarcus Cousins is, though.
