A Message from Pastor Kandace

June 20, 2019
Dear Friends;

This past Sunday evening after a really fun handbell rehearsal (there is nothing like making music together to bring one joy!), I headed over to Dairy Queen for the annual Father’s Day dilly bar!  I joined family members in remembering our dad, and the gifts he gave to us.  This week in worship we shift focus just a bit to consider the FRUITS of the Holy Spirit.  Do you know the fruit of the Spirit?  There are nine…can you name them? What do you think is the primary difference between a gift of the Holy Spirit and the fruit of the Holy Spirit?  That will be the focus of my sermon on Sunday, and I hope you will be joining us in worship.  We will have the joy of praying over and sending off our youth team on their mission trip to Gulf Coast (Port St. Joe) for a week of hurricane rebuilding efforts.

This week our campus is again filled with the sights and sounds of children – this week it is for Extreme Explorers; a wonderful program of activities and friendship put together by our children’s ministry team.  I am so proud of their creative ministry with our children!  Because our summer is often so filled with children’s activities and precious little ones, please be careful as you drive onto our campus during the week.

So, how did you do?  Were you able to list the fruit of the Spirit?  Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  May our fruit be abundant!

Blessings,

Kandace

PLEASE NOTE
Our wonderful Children’s Minister, Jill Merryday, is currently on Family Medical Leave.  While Jill is gone, several folks will be pitching in to assist in order to keep our ministry going!  Jenni Cox, Morgan Holmes and Peggy Benton are helping out. Morgan is our new summer intern.  Please check with any of these amazing ladies if you have questions or need information.  Keep Jill and her family in your prayers!
