Region 2 Coalition

Clearwater Youth Alliance seeks donations in support of the 4th Annual 2019 Summer Movie Bus Program. A popular program, the bus is almost always FULL and your support covers the basics. The balance of the cost is donated by the bus drivers, CYA staff and volunteers. A ten-week program, an investment of $1,200 covers it all! Please contact the coordinators listed on the flyer. No donation is too small and all are appreciated!

Region 4 Coalition

MADC attended the Meridian Speedway Family Night on Friday, May 31st, taking the opportunity to share a prevention message with parents and youth.

"We provide useful resources like our Parent Prevention Packets (w/ FREE drug test) to parents and FREE Polaroid pictures to youth when they share their Natural High with us," MADC wrote.

Parents were encouraged to bring their pre-teen or teen to begin or continue the discussion about vaping, e-cigarettes, and substance abuse.

Idaho Opioid Misuse and Overdose Strategic Planning Update

Office of Drug Policy (ODP) 2017-2022 Idaho Overdose Strategic Planning Update

"As part of the annual strategic plan updating process, the stakeholders and SWOTT analysis are reviewed and updated with any new information."(ODP) Melinda Smyser and Monica Revoczi facilitated an informative and concise Strategic Planning Retreat.

The group went collaboratively through opioid crisis considerations, environmental assessment, and then divided into goal groups to review and revise strategies and action plans. We look forward to seeing these changes and updates to be published and anticipate to hear a Governors Executive Order on Opioids Substance Use Disorder sometime mid-June.

As a new member of the Opioid Strategic Planning Group, the expertise and collaboration at this retreat were inspiring, and the participants had a realistic grasp on Idaho’s opioid crisis. Rose, CCI's Board Chair, and I were able to see old friends and make partnerships with new friends who share the same opioid crisis prevention passion. Thanks to the Office of Drug Policy for facilitating this retreat.
