WHAT'S NEW AT DIAVOLO?

RUN-RAISER FOR VETERANS

On Saturday, June 29th at 8am, our dear friend Dr. Edward Samourjian will be running a 24-hour ultra marathon at Griffith Park in order to raise much needed funds for DIAVOLO's Veterans Project. His goal: 100 miles! #TheDiavoloWay

All money raised goes directly towards sustaining DIAVOLO's Veterans Project. Programs in our hometown of Los Angeles, as well as Manhattan, KS, Tampa, FL, and Orange, CA reach hundreds of veterans of all backgrounds every year. Your contributions will help support the brave individuals who have served and expand DIAVOLO's Veterans Project to communities such as North Carolina and Arizona.

Here's how you can help:

1. Make a per mile pledge or consider submitting a flat donation.
2. Spread the word by forwarding this email to friends and family.
3. Post about the event on your social media platforms.

We hope you will join us on June 29th, to meet the veterans and cheer on Dr. Samourjian!

VETERANS PROJECT UPDATE

DIAVOLO continues its FREE monthly movement workshops for service members. On Sunday,  June 9th, veteran participants were challenged to trust their bodies and their fellow service members while using one of DIAVOLO's first set pieces, D2R. Distinguished guests from Kansas State University, the site of our most recent veteran residency,  got an up close look at the workshop.
The Veterans Project is heading to Tampa, Florida in June 2019! In partnership with the STRAZ Center and the University of South Florida,  DIAVOLO brings The Veterans Project across the country for a special residency in support of local veterans. Over three intense weeks, Jacques Heim, DIAVOLO dancers, and local veterans will explore themes such as perseverance, heroism, sacrifice, and hope through movement workshops and open discussions.
