Mission, Vision and Values Survey

We are embarking on our new Strategic Plan and are seeking your input to develop our Mission, Vision and Values which will provide long-term direction for the organisation

GROW in Ireland is embarking on the development of its new strategic plan 2020-2022 and it's  website. At the this time GROW reviews it's Mission, Vision and Values  to ensure that they area aligned, fit for purpose and give direction to the organisation over the coming years. 
 
The organisation wishes to develop a shared mission, vision, and set of values. This will:
 
· provide a common sense of purpose and identity
· provide long-term direction
· communicate internally and externally what the organisation is about
 
This survey provides you with an opportunity to provide input into the Mission, Vision, and Values of GROW in Ireland. Your answers are confidential and participation is voluntary.

To provide consistency and guidance the following definitions of Mission, Vision and Values are set as follows:

A Mission Statement is a statement of the organisation’s reason for being, its purpose – what it wants to accomplish in the larger environment.  The Mission Statement should capture the essence of who we are, what we do, and for whom. 

The  mission should guide each day’s activities and decisions.  It is the primary standard  against which the organisation’s plans and programs should be evaluated.  The mission  statements use simple and concise terminology, speak loudly and clearly, and generate  enthusiasm for the organisation.  The Mission is the core, the purpose of the  organisation, why we exist, and is best stated in the present tense. It should speak to both internal and external audiences.

The Vision Statement of an organisation is the dream, the type of statement that answers the  questions “where are we going” and what can we achieve?”  It is a concise word picture  of what the organisation strives to be, and should always be the road map that drives, inspires and motivates those associated with the organisation.  This is the real purpose for  volunteering or going to work every day .... how will the world be different because  of GROW  in 5 or ten years time?
 

Values are enduring, passionate, and distinctive core belief that bind the organisation together including  all stakeholders.  They are the beliefs that guide the conduct, activities and goals of the organisation. They establish why we do what you do and what we stand for. Values are deeply held convictions, priorities, and underlying assumptions that influence the attitudes and behaviours of our organisation.
