We Have Our Placement!

We are Contingent 139 in the 49th Annual San Francisco Pride Parade.  That puts us right in the middle of the parade! 

Pride says that all marchers need to be in place by 1:00PM so we are requesting you arrive by 12:30. You are more than welcome to show up early, some of us will be at parade start at 9AM setting up and volunteers are always appreciated. 

• Take SF Pride’s Monitor Training (click here)
• Bring a friend, we welcome everyone to our Contingent
• Stay hydrated! We’ll have some water for you but please bring a personal supply, we typically run out
• Protect yourself and wear sunscreen
• Eat breakfast before you get to the parade, there’s 50,000 marchers downtown and extremely limited food options. Trust me. Eat before you arrive. 
• Show up 30 minutes before step-off (estimated step-off is 1:00PM) Catch up with our Leather Family, meet some new friends and celebrate Pride with us!
• Get crafty!  We encourage the contingent to make signage relating to this year’s theme: “Generations of Resistance.” 

• shackle or use any restraints that may restrict your ability to walk.
• Bring a vehicle, scooter, motorcycle or pony cart unless it is previously approved by Contingent Organizers
• Bring lots of stuff to the parade.  We have absolutely no storage for your stuff during the parade.  Our truck is reserved for guests of the Contingent and will not be available to store your bag, no matter how small it is.  Pro-Tip: with step-off at 1PM you have plenty of time to check bags at Leather Alley before heading down to parade start. 
• Bring a pet with you, service animals are permitted of course but please keep in mind that there is over 100,000 people on the sidelines and 50,000 people in the parade.  This can be very overwhelming to an animal. 
• Stop the parade for any reason.  This includes protesting.  
• Show your naughty bits.  We ask that your outfit remain PG-13 until after we have passed broadcast cameras.
