1. Updates

Week 8

Hello Urbanists! The exam period in Oxford is almost well and truly up. Fortunately, unlike exams, a love of all things urban has no expiration, so we want to comfort you that your fill of urban updates will continue in earnest once term has ended. If that doesn't sound like it will quench your urban appetite, why not apply for the role of Editor-in-Chief of Oxford Urbanists? Whether you have been involved with our work in the past or not, we welcome your application. Scroll down to the 'opportunities' section of the newsletter for more information. We're a lovely bunch, and would love for you to join us!

Read on for news on the Guardian's Tokyo Week, opportunities to attend conferences and summer schools, events happening from Oxford to Singaporeand much much more.

The latest article to be published in the Oxford Urbanists magazine is now available to read on our website. 'Squatting, Citizenship, Ecology, Method: An Interview with Alex Vasudevan' examines squatting and citizenship, 'cityness' and 'autonomous urbanism', the urban commons, and urban natures. The piece, written by William Conroy, is available for your enjoyment and edification here

As always, please do send in your pictures and work -  we'd love to feature them in our newsletter. Head over to Facebook, Twitter, and our website pages for more updates.
