Beta Project Rounds Out Top Ten 2018 CA Construction Starts

Beta made the top ten of Engineering News-Record’s list of largest construction project starts in California for 2018. Beta is providing the engineering, procurement and construction on San Diego Gas & Electric’s South Orange County Reliability Enhancement Project (SOCRE) in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
Beta, which operates offices in San Diego, Calif.; Pineville, La.; and Canton, Ohio; is proud of the dozens of high voltage EPC projects we have completed in California over the past two decades, supporting the state’s transition to more renewable energy sources and increasing grid capacity.

California Utility Demonstrates Pilot Battery System

Beta provided the engineering, procurement and construction of a 2MW battery energy storage system (BESS) for Glendale Water and Power in 2017. The operation of this small-scale pilot project has proved the battery system’s capability to respond instantly to shifts in the system load. Read more...

Beta Announces New Business Development Manager

Beta has hired Matt Vaughn as Business Development Manager for the southern US. Matt, who started in May, brings more than 20 years of experience in the high voltage substation industry. He has extensive experience in the industrial and utility marketplace and brings to Beta a customer-focused collaborative approach to the EPC business. His addition will help Beta grow and strengthen our presence in the Southeast.

Beta Safety Specialist Earns CSHO Certification
|
|
Beta Safety Specialist Jacob Steelman recently received his Certified Safety & Health Official (CSHO) certification. This certification involved completing and passing nine OSHA standards and trainer courses. Steelman also holds Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) certification.
