Dear friends-
The 7th Annual Lakeshore PAWS Pup Crawl was June 8. This is our biggest fund raiser of the year and I am happy to say that we made $36,800!
That is our best year ever. In addition to the funds we raised, several people who attended Pup Crawl came in the following day to our center and we adopted out 12 dogs in less than four hours. I think our staff set a record that day and because of so many adoptions, we were able to reach out to several shelters and save more lives.
We are also grateful for the more than 100 volunteers who were involved in making the event such a success. They worked hard planning and filling the positions needed to make it a success.

Also thanks to Amy Mores, who manages the event every year and spends countless hours preparing.
We are also want to let our sponsors know how grateful we are for their support. Please look over our list of generous sponsors and try and support them since they are a big reason why we have been able to save more than 4,200 dogs since we started the rescue in April of 2011.
Because of all of you, it was a success.

 Thomas Rotter has dived right in as a volunteer helping out by visiting, walking, playing with and recently, learning to train the dogs. He shows dogs to visitors, helps out at events and often gives up big portions of his Saturdays to show dogs to potential adopters and help intake new dogs. For all of this and more, a big thanks to Thomas from us and the dogs.

Playful girl seeking active home!
 Meet Bella. She is a 1.5-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier/Lab mix. Bella is a very active girl, who will do best in an active home where she can get plenty of attention, exercise and training. She loves people, but would likely prefer to be the only dog at home. She is too much dog for children under the age of 8. Bella weighs 52 pounds. Come meet her today!
