Update-- Building on the Sure Foundation

Dear friends,

Just over a month ago, we announced "Building on the Sure Foundation," to support the renovations undertaken in the kitchen, nursery, and downstairs restrooms. With thanks to many people, we are moving forward very well. This e-mail will provide you with some information about our progress.

We have received $32,700 in financial support. Additionally, we have received pledges of $11,000, bringing the total of gifts to $43,700.

With a goal of $75,000, this means we are currently at 58% of our goal.

We will need $31,300 to achieve out goal. If you have not yet made a gift, please consider making a gift or pledge by the end of June. With many people who go away for the summer, your Vestry hopes to achieve this fundraising goal before people begin summer travels.

In recent weeks, renovations in the nursery and the downstairs restrooms have neared completion. In the nursery, new flooring, new paint, new light fixtures, and improvements to child safety have been completed. Similar renovations will be made in the children's classroom next door.

Renovations in the downstairs restrooms have brought them into the new century. Each restroom is now single use, gender neutral, and ADA compliant. Additionally, improvements have been made with automatic lighting, ventilation, and baby changing facilities.

Pictured below, restrooms are now single use. You will be able to determine if the restroom is in use by looking at the green or red indicator above the handle.

In the kitchen, the new stove has been the greatest improvement. However, work will continue in order to make the kitchen friendlier and easier to use, so that Coffee Hour and parish events are easier to facilitate. In addition, we want to make the kitchen a space that is conducive to Outreach and feeding ministries.
