Our First Charity Movie - "Aladdin"

30 May
We are happy to announce that we had a full house for our first ever Charity Movie and that the children from our after-school care centres under the Student Care Financial Assistance (SCFA) Scheme and those from our CareNights centres had a blast at the fundraiser "Aladdin" movie event. Thanks to kind donors who donated tickets to our children, they also helped us raised much-needed funds. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us, including Golden Village for making this fundraising event possible.

The Incredible Years® Group Leaders Training: An international mix of participants

Kimberlee Shoecraft, certified Mentor/Trainer for The Incredible Years since 2009, flew in from the States to conduct Group Leaders Training in The Incredible Years® Parenting Programme, Parents & Babies and Small Group Dinosaur Therapy. The two weeks saw participants not only from Singapore but also from South Korea, Taiwan, UAE and other parts of Asia. These group leaders will bring back with them the skills and knowledge to conduct the Incredible Years programme back home. We are proud to be hosting and facilitating the training.

The Incredible Years Parenting Programmes are also offered in Morning Star by our certified leaders.

CareNights Reaches out to More Families in Serangoon

18 May
We received a request from community leaders to set up a CareNights centre in Serangoon. In response, we conducted a needs assessment with the help of volunteers to visit rental blocks to see if there is a need for our free evening care programme.

We are in the midst of evaluation, so watch out for updates in the next issue.
