Salutations <<First Name>>

Had a great time at the ashram on the meditation retreat although missed sharing yoga with you last Tuesday. Met some lovely people, and enjoyed the picturesque surroundings.

This month we look at a breathing practice which relates to Alternative Nostril breathing but doesn't require the hand to be used. A more subtle practice, but no less significant. It's one I have been familiar with since my original teacher training course. The recent ashram trip has reconnected me to the practice and I am now inspired to share it with you all. Can be excellent option if your nostrills are blocked.

Gentle Exercise for Aches and Pains (Free @ Northstreet)
  • Well not just exercise
  • It's free and there are some places available
  • Ideal for people who currently don't practice yoga and need help with achy/painful bodies
  • Potentially relevant to all as there will be some information and content that we dont cover on Tuesday classes
  • Commences this Wednesday for 10 weeks but doesn't matter if you miss the odd session
  • More information; http://yoga-bija.me.uk/2019/05/22/gentle-exercise-aches-pains-free/

Comfort
Please feel free to bring any cushions, blocks, bolster and blankets you have which might help you in class. For example improved sitting or experience a more pleasant relaxation. Anything goes with props if it is helpful.

Suggestions and feedback always welcome.

Class Start Time and Late Arrivals
Class starts at 7pm.

Late arrivals are welcome to join the class. Should you arrive late please do not worry about being late. Simply wait until the posture section of the class starts and join as quietly as you can.

Remember the end of Om chanting there is silence and does not signify it’s okay to enter the room. Ideally its useful to arrive by 6.55pm so the admin can be completed before we start at 7pm. I understand sometimes it is difficult to get to class on time and I want to encourage you to attend class even if your late.

These guidelines will help us all experience the best class we can, even when life makes it difficult to arrive in good time. The same message has been added to the website.

Health and happiness,
Russell
