Well, I really didn't expect to be writing so soon about Rochelle!
We had just finished a wonderful visit with our son and daughter-in-law and grand daughter from Los Angeles. All last week after they returned home, Rochelle has been fighting a cold that she caught. It was being a tough really congested cold/cough/sore throat, but still normal. Then yesterday her eye became weepy and gunked up and a bit painful and swelling started above and below her eye.
Today the urgent care sent us to the ER our of concern for the infection. Turns out that this was not the more common "pink eye" but a different eye infection, and so their concern is if it spreads to the back of the eye, it could lead to loss of sight in the eye.
So Rochelle has been admitted, probably for 2 days while they douse her with strong antibiotics and she can see an eye specialist tomorrow hopefully.
