May flew by!

Debbie went to Germany for May, and found the Lord had arranged so much! Organizing the office contents into usable supplies, creating functional arrangement of furniture and work space, she showed her flair for organizing in a way that helps the whole team be more effective. Joining in team training sessions, she helped in clarifying vision and mapping direction for days and years ahead. Coming alongside each of the workers, she had many teas, meals and gatherings, listening to how the members are doing, and helping care for them as they are carrying some pretty significant loads. Debbie cared for kids several times to free up couples so both could attend meetings together. And she gained a new term to describe our role: member care. That's a big part of who we are and what we do: member care!

This is not Debbie's seat at the table. But she did get to see a few sites, and one castle!

Debbie wrapped up her month trip with a four day visit to Sweden, with friends and fellow workers in Malmo. Debbie was able to listen, and help in the homes too. Having served as a young mom overseas herself, Debbie demonstrated that mothering on the field is a big part of ministry. She reminded that the world watches to see how Jesus followers actually live in the very regular parts of life. And Debbie encouraged these ladies to see the Lord is active and vital in their daily lives now.  Member care!

Busy in Iowa, Brett then met supporters and family in California. Moving out of one home, cleaning the home for the new buyers, then house sitting and ministry prep for a week in California, he also worked each day at the office to prepare for Light Fair Int'l 2019. California was with old friends, prayer partners, financial supporters and family. Ten different meetings helped share our vision for reaching the nations with the Gospel. Debbie joined in many of these meetings via video calls, and this was a treat. Family time included visits with Jonathan & Stacy, Debbie's mom, and brother, and a wedding! Sister Brynn's son Taylor wed Veronica, and many reunions were found there too.

With Taylor and my sister Brynn - such a fun reunion!

Debbie and I spent one night hosted by our friends in Minneapolis following her very long flight. This was a blessing - and then we were off to Iowa. June means staying in a new home, just for the month. The owners come home in July, so we are helping get the place ready. Six wheelbarrow loads of thistles and

overgrown prairie grasses means we found some actual garden underneath. It's not a full landscaping, but it's a nasty job that we were able to take off their hands - a small thanks for some who have given us a place in June!

Please pray for us.
We need a place beginning in July. We are recognizing we need to stay somewhere long term, where we are not moving every other month. One potential place just came off the list, as they are now expecting, but that means changes in what's ahead for them. We celebrate, but need to look further.

We want our company to complete the launch, something that keeps getting closer. We see progress, but deals getting signed, stocks issued and funds coming in - these all need to complete. My team at work have all become more interested in refugees too - they see our future and are working to help us see our hopes fulfilled.

Discussions are planned this week for the Masons' Member Care role and where it fits with Hub Launch in Hamburg and Team Leadership among direct workers. Pray the meetings hold, and we begin to see more clarity of how our long term will work with those already in Germany.

September-October will be the All Nations Global Gathering in Cape Town. We are planning on going, to meet many more colleagues, to participate in many training and vision sessions, and to see how the Lord continues this Member Care role through us. Pray for the logistics to all come together for us.

Another Germany trip may well form for Debbie. This would be late 2019, and give Debbie more time to come alongside younger workers, encourage, participate, offload work, and join in team outreach too. Pray the Lord will show us!

In the meantime, We are excited to be serving. Discipleship of new believers is happening even now in Cedar Rapids, and we are thrilled the Lord chose us as His hands in this. Pray as we visit a friend in the hospital dealing with cancer this week. We will come visit, pray, listen and walk alongside. Things Jesus would do.

We are thankful for you. Your prayer has helped tons. Your support has made much of this ministry possible. You joining with us to see Jesus worshiped among all nations - that is His call for all of us. We are glad you go with us.

Thank you!
