If you are conducting training in the Greater Manchester area, the 5-year Environmental Plan is a great discussion point linked to local learning, making sure it's fully engaged with during the course. Officially launched at the GM Green Summit in March of this year, the plan sets out the long term environmental plan for the area, including the pathway towards 2038 carbon neutrality.
If you choose to include a documentary/film in your Carbon Literacy training day as part of the climate science section, have you considered David Attenborough's latest collaboration with the BBC, Climate Change - The Facts? It presents a concise and up to date view of the science that we are currently working with, and exemplifies the need for more ambitious carbon neutrality targets globally.
If you're looking for a great video to inspire some significant individual actions, have a look at this short clip showing Christina Figueres give a quick rundown of top tips for a healthier environment.

✓ Last year, we updated our evidence form to include a question on how as a society we can achieve a zero-carbon Britain by 2038. This target, devised by the Tyndall Centre, focused on Greater Manchester, though is also applicable as a suggested advanced zero carbon target for the rest of the UK, above and beyond the national target. Since then, other cities and areas in the UK have set their own separate target dates for carbon neutrality. If you are delivering training in or near an area with a target date that is sooner than 2038, please feel free to use this more ambitious date in your form, as it may feel more relevant to your learners.
✓ When conducting a Carbon Literacy course, please try to take a photo. This could be submitted with evidence or included in a social media post with a link/tag to us - helping to show the range of Carbon Literacy training taking place.
