Planning Permission Granted
Some of you may have seen the article in the Press and Journal this week regarding the granting of Planning Permission for the Glascairn Site. The article can be viewed here https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/inverness/1765849/black-isle-community-significant-step-closer-to-building-its-own-homes-and-centre/
It is now full steam ahead to work with Tulloch Homes, Carin Housing and others to discharge the planning conditions and to get into a position to put our plans into action. There is a requirement for a Housing Needs Survey and we hope that you will engage with this which will be carried out by the Highland Small Communities Housing Trust.
This really is great news and we look froward to the next steps in developing the site for the community.

History Group - Findon Hotel?
Recently the Culbokie History pages attracted the attention of Clare Howard, Historic England who is researching the history of the State Management public houses which were run by the scheme in the Cromarty district between 1916 and 1971. She had come across references to the “Findon Hotel” in the State Management records which may have been closed upon their acquisition around 1916.
