Hello Los Gatos ToastMasters!
Welcome to our email blast. We are very excited by the recent district conference at the Biltmore Hotel in San Jose. There were some excellent educational sessions and an opportunity to watch great speaker & evaluation contests.
I was able contribute by handling the Audio/Visuals (Slidedeck & camera spotlight). It went pretty smoothly except one hiccup with Google Slides to Microsoft Powerpoint translation. It was an honor to help play the "hug-line" music. This is where our newly minted DTM (distinguished toastmasters) get to choose their music and come out and get a hand-shake or hug from past DTMs. There was some pressure to get it right but in the end felt very rewarding.
A big shout out to our newest members since our last newsletter: Tuotuo Li, Angie Huang, and Runo Okiomah. Welcome aboard!!

Club Meeting Location: Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, 10 Station Way, Los Gatos, CA 95030
Jun 11, Tuesday, Regular meeting at Chamber.
Jun 15, 11am-3pm, Saturday, Hiking. New LG Preserve called Bear Creek Readwoods (no dogs). You will get to see some Old-Growth Redwoods while experiencing this cool shaded forest. Parking is very limited so let's carpool together.
Jun 18, Tuesday, Meeting Outside @ Pageant Grounds (park just to right of LG Library). Social hour after too! We will go to Billy's Boston Chowder House
Jun 25, Tuesday, Regular meeting at Chamber.
Jun 29, Get Together, Potluck at Eddie & Nadia's Place. Bring the kids, we will have yard games setup.

Club News
It is time for Officer Election. Please nominate yourself or another member by adding an individual as a "member" to the respective officer card on Trello. Don't worry if you aren't sure the person wants the role, they can always remove themselves from consideration. On Trello you can read about each role. Taking a leadership role in the club not only supports your club it also will help you grow professionally. It looks great on your resume or LinkedIn profile. Remember, we need you and you need us!
We have been super excited to see new members Afie, Sofya, George and others step up with great club participation. Ganesh & Kent have also been active in their officer roles & meeting roles. We thank them and all our members for helping us host these meetings weekly.
Finally, thanks to Barb and Afie we organized a little social hour after the last meeting. It was fun unwinding with members, getting to learn more about each-other and share a beverage together. Look for more on our calendar.
