2nd newsletter

The second EURAKNOS Consortium Meeting was held in Athens on the 17th and 18th of June. Here we discussed and co-designed next steps using facilitated interactive workshops.
Now more than 65% of thematic network interviews have been performed, EURAKNOS partners planned activities to connect thematic networks and power up agricultural innovation knowledge through a High Impact Knowledge Reservoir.

On behalf of all partners, we wish to thank once again the Agricultural University of Athens for the wonderful organisation of this meeting!

Focus on a thematic network: Inno4grass

This month, the Grassland Center (Germany, Lower Saxony) organised a cross-visit-exchange with dairy farmers across Europe. The idea was to welcome partners of both Inno4Grass and NEFERTITI to visit farms in North Germany and benefit from fruitful peer-to-peer learning sessions.

Farmers and consultants from several EU countries visited the Luerßern family farm in Uthlede. Claus Christian Luerßen first gave the 30 interested visitors an overview of the 400 ha farm with 800 dairy cows before taking them on a tour of the farm. The visit took place as part of a cross-visit to the NEFERTITI project, in which the Grassland Centre is a partner. Other participants included visitors taking part in the EU Inno4Grass project coordinated by the Grassland Centre. Over the course of the day there were various farm visits before all 60 participants from both projects met in the evening to exchange experiences.

Besides the cross-visit exchange, The Grassland Center organised an Inno4Grass tour/award Germany, 11th-13th June 2019.

33° was the average temperature in Athens during the 2nd consortium meeting!

After two long days of facilitating, discussing and co-designing next steps, some of us took a trip up to the Acropolis to watch the sun go down. Apollo rewarded us well for all our hard work!
