Dear Subscriber

Please enjoy your Outdoors Victoria News, June 2019
Shawn Andrews, Sally Golnder, Pei Ting Tham(PT) Jolleen Hicks & Ben Knowles afrter surviving 'You Can't Ask That' Forum

Thank you everyone!

For your generosity, attendance; conversations; presentations; exhibitor stands & your honest feedback for this years Education Outdoors Conference.
Considering the feedback, all four of our keynote addresses, & the final forum session, were the clear favourites. The overall conference content offered individuals and organisations some solid ideas to consider for their work practices.

For our part, Outdoors Victoria, will keep our community updated on the actions other outdoor organisations are undertaking over the coming year, so please send us your news items and we'll be very happy to share with the community.

OV is committed to a deliberate and conscious effort to learn, change and act. We will continue to increase our consideration for inclusiveness and diversity in our own actions, communications & policies in the future. We welcome the advice and will actively seek the expertise of leaders in different fields.
A heartfelt keynote message from Merinda Dryden
Thanks again to everyone who offered feedback (we heard it loud and clear)

We had an overwhelmingly positive response to the idea of moving the conference to Thursday/ Friday in future.
This years positive response to the theme and variety of sessions on offer have given us a lot to ponder and work on for next year.

We promise to do our very best to take all your constructive feedback with good spirit and return with an even better event for you next year.
Murray Irwin & Dr Bruce Mc Gregor

It's so bad the introverts are here :)
Really we just have to leave the last word of the conference to Sally Goldner AM, from Transgender Victoria, who delivered some reality with much warmth and humour along the way. If you didn't manage to jot down her list of resources, we'll be adding them to our website soon, so stay tuned. We hope you all follow up and get her out to speak to your staff and students and if you do, don't forget to share your story :)
