East Gippsland Shire Council presents
Owning Our Future,
Gala Industry Dinner with
Keynote Speaker Jillian Kilby

Owning Our Future is a Gala Industry Dinner, celebrating the potential of regional business in East Gippsland.  We are extending an invitation to our business leaders, advocates of regional innovation and community members to be part of this special opportunity.

It is with great pleasure to announce our Keynote speaker, Jillian Kirby.

Jillian will captivate her listeners into thinking about how to own their future.  She takes her audience ten years into the future, and also into their past, as a technique to visualise and anticipate a thriving regional Australia.

If you are involved in business and community development or participate in a start-up ecosystem, Jillian's story will inspire and motivate industry participants and you don't want to miss this event.

Doors will open at 6pm with canapes and welcome drink on arrival.  A two course meal and entertainment will follow.  Cash bar will be available.  Special diets will be catered for upon request.

For more information, please call Jeanette Seignior, Economic Development Events Officer, on (03) 5153 9500 or email jeanettes@egipps.vic.gov.au

About Jillian Kilby:
As the winner of the 2018 NSW/ACT AgriFuturesTM Australia Rural Women’s Award, Jillian began researching the needs of founders who are starting, scaling and sometimes suffering in regional areas. Jillian has since purchased an iconic 1880's clock tower in the main street of Dubbo and is currently renovating it to make it the brand new home of the start up community in western NSW.

She has well and truly proven that owning our future is in our own hands.

Jillian is also a civil engineer, an Industry Advisor for the Engineering Degree at CSU Bathurst, and a John Monash Scholar holding an MBA and Master of Public Policy from Stanford University.
