Welcome Summer!
Summer is finally here after a long winter and wet spring. Get out and enjoy the trails and the longer days. Remember when you are parked at a trailhead to clean up after your horses and if there is no manure bunker to take the manure home with you. You are an equestrian ambassador and keeping our fellow trail users happy is our goal, we all want to have a fun time on the trail. Happy trails!!!

At Risk

Lakeview Stable, currently home to 55 horses, has been sold to POST. It is unclear whether POST and Santa Clara County Parks would consider leasing the property to a concessionaire or non profit for continued equestrian use. Equestrians are needed to step up and get involved! Please contact Jan Kearny for more info at lakeviewstable@gmail.com

Good News! Mar Vista Stables Update: "The landowner’s and developer’s deal to purchase the land at the Mar Vista Stables did not go through. We are hopeful that the landowners will ultimately take us up on our original proposal to buy the land so that we can protect it and our beloved barns forever." Read more...
Good News! Bear Creek Stables: Midpen is moving forward with basic repairs and maintenance to Bear Creek Stables, located within its Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve near Los Gatos.
