Jekka's Summer Open Days

It has been a buzz of activity at the farm. Jekka has recently planted a garden in the centre of London, at The Goring hotel, to accompany the launch of Nathan Outlaw's new restaurant 'Siren'. The restaurant showcases the best of Cornish produce and overlooks The Goring Garden.

We have also supplied herbs to four Show gardens at the RHS Hampton Court Flower show which opens on Monday 1st July in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace.

To top off our productive month we are preparing for our Summer Open Days on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th July, with some plant offers to inspire your summer cuisine. Our open days are a wonderful opportunity for you to explore Jekka's Herbetum, meet the team and enjoy a herb talk with Jekka. We will be open from 10am to 4pm, herb talks are at 11am and 2pm, plus our cafe will be selling seasonal food and homemade cakes all day.
Bishops Flower, Ammi Majus  and Amaranth, Amaranthus tricolor 'Red Army’ provided for the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show
Read our latest blog about Rosemary (Rosmarinus) one of the most versatile and useful herbs in the home, being both culinary and medicinal. We have written about Rosemary a few times before, however this time our blog contains one of our first videos, made in collaboration with Candide, 'Jekka's Guide to Rosemary'.
This is the first of a series of educational videos which we will be releasing throughout the year.

NEW: Jekka's Edition
‘Bouquet Garni’

This new expression of Jekka’s Edition is based on the traditional French ‘Bouquet Garni’. It is a wonderfully aromatic limited edition gin, with layers of citrus, anise and fresh green herbs. Made using freshly picked herbs that are delivered early in the morning from Jekka’s and distilled on the same day at 6 O' Clock Gin, based down the road in Thornbury.
We will have bottles of both of the Jekka's Editions available to buy from our farm shop at our Summer Open Days on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th July.

 Blue Hyssop, Hyssopus officinalis

French Tarragon, Artemisia dracunculus
