Dear Valued Customer,
We have made it through yet another successful June here in downtown Salida. A special thanks to all the volunteers and staff that worked so hard to make FIBArk and ArtWalk a success. These two staple Salida events continue to be a huge boost for our summer and local economy. Here is to a great summer Salida!
June weather has been a continuance of the spring pattern- much cooler and wetter than usual. I bet many of us are wondering will the snow ever melt in the high country and how long will the high water last? Who knows as this year continues to be so unlike the last. Below is an excerpt from last year’s July newsletter
“I believe it’s the first time in my lifetime I have seen any Stage III fire restrictions in Colorado and I hope it’s the last! Let’s keep our fingers crossed and be careful with any outdoor activity that could even create a spark. Fingers crossed for some rain!!!”
And this year will likely be a first in my lifetime that you could ski off the peak of Mt Shavano on the 4th of July or that the snow might not melt off some local trails until August. Wow!
Enough about the weather and on to the HOOCH! Make sure you stop by “The Jug” for the best deals and selection in the Upper Arkansas Valley. As always we will be glad to see you and assist you in your libation needs. “The Jug” would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support in our 15th year of business. Happy 4th of July Salida, be smart, be safe and have an awesome July.
Sincerely,
The staff at Arlie Dale’s Jug Liquors
