Wine Tastings at Cain Park

Enhance your Cain Park experience by adding a wine tasting. Cain Park is teaming up with The Wine Spot for the 2019 wine tastings (must be 21 or older)

  Every Friday during the summer months Two One Fix Bicycle will be here for pop-up bicycle repairs from 5pm-8pm. Grab your bike and enjoy a cold brew or two on the patio.

Live Music: Cleveland Heights Inter-Generational Quartet— Round 1
Comprised mostly of Heights High Graduates, this group celebrates the rich musical legacy of the Cleveland Heights Community and it’s instrumental music program. Tim McDonald, class of 2005, plays saxophone and teaches the jazz combos at the High School. Malik Winfield, class of 2019, is on bass and will be attending Berkeley College of Music in Boston in the fall. Pierce Braxton III, class of 2019, plays drums and will be staying in the area to play professionally. They are joined by NE Ohio native Bent Hamker on guitar. This will be an ongoing project that will involve multiple graduates as a celebration and testament to the support of our community and the dedication of the CHUH staff.

Pickle Gose Party w/ Urban Artifact
It's time for Pickle Gose! The love-it or hate-it (we love it!) sour is hitting the shelves and we want to share it with you. Co-owner Scotty Hunter will be on hand to hang out and talk all things sour. Along side this savory brew we will be sampling the Epicurean Salter Rye Gose and other tart & tasty beers from Urban Artifact.

Back for it's 5th year. The Happy 1 Mile Walk, 5k and 10K is a fundraiser for the Cleveland Heights Youth Scholarship Fund. This year we will be hosting a post run block party from 112pm-3pm on Silsby Road. Pioneering winemaker and clay amphora innovator of Abruzzo, Francesco Cirelli, farms 23 hectares of certified organic land in the sandy hills of Colline Teramane near the Adriatic Sea. In addition to the vines, the estate includes olive trees, fig trees, garlic, spelt, wheat, barley, figs and geese, all low intervention farmed using organic, sustainable and biodynamic methods.

The grapes are fermented in autoclave and the resulting wine does not undergo any fining or filtration. The wine is intended to be fun and as Francesco says,  to “bring a little bit of anarchy into the day”.
