‘Time and Tide’
"This exhibition is about my response to the Alexandrina region. As a multimedia artist, to me each journey is about process-process of learning about and understanding a place, process of creating ideas, and the process of art making. The artwork then becomes a reflection of that process. So, for this exhibition in responding to the region, I have decided to do predominately small-scale i ntimate collage works on paper, deconstructed and reconstructed images, pieced together like patchwork quilts or tapestries reflecting the ‘piecing together’ of time and place. They also reference shared memories and experiences like the Pennsylvania Dutch who re-used - - deconstructed- fabric from clothing and – reconstructed the fabric into wonderfully designed and pieced together quilts for a new life and purpose for the community"
