Dung Beetle Ecology and An Introduction to the Dung Beetles of Columbia County, a presentation by visiting scientist Rachel Stone on Wednesday, July 3rd, 7pm at the Creekhouse (1075 Harlemville Road, Ghent NY 12075).
The presentation will be part of the monthly FEP Open House, which was moved to WEDNESDAY, July 3rd, 6-8pmto avoid conflict with 4th of July activities. Before the presentation, there will be an opportunity at 6pm for a quick tour of the native plant garden and building, and to have a light meal. Please check the above link for more info on the dung beetle presentation.

Landscaped Wildflower Meadows: Their Plants and Insects at Pom's Cabin Farm (private land) in Falls Village, CT, Saturday, July 6, 10am-noon.
This is the first in a series of meadow-themed ecology walks we offer this summer. Visit two beautiful organically managed meadows that have been created "from scratch" more than a decade ago. Learn what it took to establish and maintain them, admire the flowers, observe the insect life, and get inspired! Please register with Claudia fep@hawthornevalleyfarm.org to receive directions.

And don't forget to mark your calendars for more FEP summer events:
We are looking forward to seeing you!
