Healthwatch Wandsworth's
Annual Report 2018-19

Each year we take a retrospective look back at our achievements over the last 12 months and try and pull them all together in our annual report.

In this year's report we thank those who've contributed to our work and highlight how we've been able to make a positive difference to local health and social care services, thanks to your input.

Did you know that last year...
  • We spoke to over 800 people in Wandsworth
  • We helped over 65 people navigate the health and social care system and get the information they needed
  • We visited 76 community events to understand people's experiences of health and social care services.
Our 2018-19 Annual Report is available on our website - we hope you enjoy reading it. Please let us know if there's anything you'd like to see added to it in future - email enquiries@healthwatchwandsworth.co.uk to share your thoughts.
We're really happy that we were able to connect with so many different people last year - see our Annual Report for highlights of our work during the past year.

However, our work isn't finished. We want to continue to make a difference and to do that we need to hear from even more people. The poster below shows how you can
get involved.
Farewell Alana!

Some sad, but good, news - Alana, our Comms & Admin Officer - is leaving us at the end of June. Whilst this might be a big loss to Healthwatch, Alana has found a great opportunity she is looking forward to moving on to. Everyone here wishes her very well for the future.

Alana joined the team at WCA more than 6 years ago and is the last of our original staff team. Everyone who’s been involved with HWW over the years is likely to have dealt with Alana and to have benefited from the part she has played, very often behind the scenes.

Alana was responsible for our website and newsletters and we will very much miss her communication skills. She has been a real presence in making things happen, has seen a lot of change in HWW over the years and has evolved and adapted to meet the changing demands, remaining consistently positive and friendly to all.

We will miss you, Alana; thank you for the big contribution you have made. We all wish you very well in your new job and for the future.

Jeremy Cowper, WCA and Interim Healthwatch Wandsworth Chair
