THIS MONTH AT THE VOICEOVER GALLERY
This month we attended the Media Production Show at Olympia London, handily just around the corner from our Blythe Road studio.
The event has been held since 2016 and offers people from every area of the production industry the chance to meet, network and showcase the best talent and newest technology.
Taking place across two days, the event is chock-full of exhibitors and hosts plenty of seminars from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Pinewood Studios, AVID technology and the team behind the sound editing on Rocketman (sadly, there were no live performances from Elton himself, maybe next year...)
There was also plenty of chat surrounding future media, diving into the scary (but exciting) world of artificial intelligence and augmented reality, a topic particularly of note to the voiceover world with recent developments relating to deepfakes. If you’ve missed the press around deepfakes, they’re essentially fake images or videos made to look scarily real with the use of AI.
That’s our roundup of MPS19, made up of Elton John and AI, stay tuned on the newsletter in the next few months as we’ll be delving into deepfakes and AI even more.
