Closing out the Academic Year

This was another busy academic year for us. Along with seminary teaching and research/writing, Todd spent a lot of time teaching in local churches or at seminars or conferences. He also started a sort of pilot project doing some one-on-one theological mentoring. It's exciting to see our ministry expanding and are thankful for your prayers as you read our news below.

Theological Mentoring and Church Planting

Informal theological training/mentoring for church planters and lay leaders. This year I met one on one with Bohuš, an assistant pastor and future church planter. This may be a model I use more often in the future.

Impact: Sending Former Students to Wheaton

Actually, not just former students but family and ministry partners. Jana's cousin Draho along with his wife Zuzka and three kids (Oliver, Johanna and Viktor) will be heading for the States this August. Both Draho and Zuzka finished their bachelor's degrees at our seminary and will start Wheaton's graduate program in marriage and family counseling. They're a great family--we hope you get to meet them. Click the link to find out more about their journey.

May the Month for Visitors

May seems to be the month for visitors. This year a couple of important supporters visited on their way through to the European Leadership Forum or just to make the rounds in Slovakia. At the end of the month we hosted Trinity International's concert choir and Symphonic Band. They put on mini concerts at Narnia and the kids loved it.

A Scenic Trail Through the Bible

Just like hiking, you need a clear path, trail markers to keep you on the right path, an understanding of the  prominent landmarks, and good conditioning. Lately I've been helping local churches learn to read the Bible better by becoming familiar with each of these aspects of Scripture reading.

Check out the new photos

We've got lots of new photos in our gallery. We've started the hiking season with a climb up the mountain that dominates our landscape. Someone took photos of me in the pulpit, Elisabeth in her praise band, Max on a cliff and Max took a photo of Paris from Notre Dame the week before the fire.
