Seventh Grade
Seventh grade students will be on a field trip to Taughannock Park on Monday, June 24th. We will be doing outdoor activities such as a stream survey, floating classroom, and a walk. Please make sure your student comes prepared for the weather and has appropriate footwear so that he or she can enjoy all of the activities the day has to offer. Students should pack a lunch or if they choose to buy lunch, they can turn in the form that was handed out at the end of May.
Eighth Grade
TEXTBOOKS for social studies class need to be turned in as soon as possible. Please encourage your eighth grader to return their textbook.

Music
Ithaca Youth Bureau SUMMER BAND & ORCHESTRA
Hello TMS band students! Please consider participating in the wonderful Ithaca Youth Bureau Summer Band & Orchestra Program. The program takes place at Lincoln Hall on the Cornell campus with the band program led by Michael Allen and the orchestra program led by Mark Lewis! Both of these fine educators teach music at Boynton Middle School in Ithaca.
The Summer Band and Orchestra meet on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings beginning this year on Thursday, June 27. The ensembles meets ten times (no rehearsal on July 4), culminating with a final concert on Thursday, August 1.
You can register in person at the Ithaca Youth Bureau or online.
Students who play a string instrument and a band instrument can (and should) play in both band and orchestra groups. The schedule is purposely set up so those students can do both.
If you're going to be in town in July, please consider joining the program. If you have to miss a portion due to family vacation or what not, you may still participate! Don't let that deter you from registering!
The program is only $55 for Ithaca City residents and $75 for non-residents.
Scholarships are available!
