Newsletter #153
June 27th, 2019

Editorial

Dear Friends,

In this edition of our newsletter, GMFH is pleased to present you with the replay of the plenary sessions from the 8th Gut Microbiota for Health Summit 2019, held in Miami.

Next up is a new study from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) that provides the first evidence of gut bacteria’s direct contribution to autism-like behaviors in mice. You will also come across a new study with findings that show how ileocecal resection and endoscopic disease recurrence are associated with changes in ileal mucosa-associated microbiota.

Finally, we cover a new review looking at recent clinical trials and predictive modeling analyses that used gut microbiota to predict weight loss in obese and overweight patients, glycemic response in healthy subjects, and the effect of a low FODMAP diet in IBS patients.

Happy reading!
