It's the second session of Summer Farm Camp! This week, our farmers-in-training planted Pie Pumpkins – perfect for decorating and eating! Pumpkins take 90-120 days to mature, so it's a great time to plant to have them ready for the fall. 

Direct seeding is a great way to work on fine motor skills and basic measurements with kids. For perfect measuring, place 3-4 little hands between each seed. Next, use one finger to sink a hole in the soil twice the size of the seed, drop it in, then water.
