CAR TREASURE HUNT
Numerous families and friends took part in the first Car Treasure Hunt organised by the Myddle Events Association on Sunday 16th June. This was also Father’s Day and the Dads enjoyed their reward from a choice of beers and lagers. Everyone seemed ready for barbecue food after finding their way through the cunning twists and turns of the clues provided. The Treasure Hunt was won by the Kiers family from Wem who received a hamper of cheese and wine. The children’s prize of chocolates was won by the Hart children. Well done to everyone who took part. This was one of a series of events organised by the Events Association during this year for the community of Myddle and Harmer Hill. We are delighted with the response so thank you to everyone who took part. Watch out for details of our next event – a Clay Pigeon Shoot in the Autumn and a Cheese & Wine Party on 30th November.

JUBILEE COTTAGE GARDEN PARTY
Thank you so much to all whom, in whatever way, helped to ensure the success of the Garden Party on the 25th May in aid of St. Peter’s Church. The weather was kind to us and the generosity of everyone in the giving of time, donations, talent and money was very encouraging. The decision to use Harmer Hill Village Hall seemed to work out well and we made £1146, which is a record since we began running them five years ago. We’re already looking forward to next year! Bob and Julia Millington

CHRISTIAN AID 2019
A big thank you to all who gave this year. A special mention for Jean Chaff for delivering envelopes and Gill White for helping to count donations. Together we raised £346 including Gift Aid. Julia Clarke
