JULY 23 – 28, 2019
IBME TORONTO TEEN RETREAT
Ecology Retreat Center
Mono, Ontario
In the beauty of the Hockley Valley, teens will immerse themselves in a rural forest setting — meadows, brooks, trails, and trees — and meet like-minded peers interested in being as real and kind as they are. Teens will learn incredibly useful techniques for working with the mind, navigating emotions, and feeling at home with oneself.
TEENS, MINDFULNESS, AND SOCIAL JUSTICE
a Q&A with Andrea Poile
Through her work and studies, Andrea Poile has had the opportunity to evaluate, research, and teach a number of mindfulness-based curriculum and interventions for youth. “Of all of them,” she says definitively, “iBme is the best."
In May 2019, 101 Commit to Sit participants (some pictured at left) brought in 421 donations, totaling an astounding $108,000 from across the country and the world.
iBme has never turned a teen away due to lack of funds. We are only able to do this due to the generosity of many individuals, contributing in small and large ways — medium too!
iBme welcomes and celebrates human diversity in all forms regardless of race, color, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ability, personal appearance, or religious/spiritual affiliation.
iBme is a 501c3 registered nonprofit that guides young adults in developing self-awareness, compassion, and ethical decision-making through in-depth mindfulness programs.
