SMU Perkins Logo White

Summer has arrived at Perkins!  Although the activity on our campus has adopted a slightly slower pace, we've remained active with classes and visiting groups, and are preparing to welcome our Course of Study students over the next two months.

It was wonderful to connect with you—our alumni/ae—during the 2019 annual conference gatherings throughout the South Central Jurisdiction and beyond. Although our monthly e-newsletter, Perspective Online, is on summer hiatus, we have a few important updates below that you won't want to miss!

We look forward to sharing more with you in the fall.  Until then, let us know if you have any questions or news you’d like to share.

Reboot Youth Ministry

Apply by Wednesday, July 10
Reboot Youth Ministry

Reboot is a project of SMU Perkins School of Theology designed to strengthen congregational ministries with youth. We work with churches within 300 miles of Dallas that do not currently have a full-time paid youth minister.

In Phase One of the project, 18 congregations will be chosen to engage in a process whereby representatives from the whole church—including youth themselves—rethink youth ministry, from the ground up.

This groundbreaking program is supported by a $1 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., which you can read more about here.

Applications are due on Wednesday, July 10.
