Pond Opening Saturday!
There is a Pond cut scheduled for this Saturday June 29th, 2019. According to Paul Bagnall, EDG Shellfish Constable, the goal is to cut the Pond at or before it reaches 3.5 feet in elevation. The Pond is currently 3.55 above sea level, and more rain in the forecast, it will likely be higher come Saturday. Please don't forget to prepare your boats for the potential drop.

A summer cut is very good news for Pond, as it can refresh the Pond with an infusion of cool, clean, clear, salty, and oxygenated sea water prior to the summer heat. Fingers crossed for a good opening! We will keep you posted as we learn more.
