June is the month that we look back on the school year, and take a moment to reflect on what we’ve learned and thank you for making our work possible.
This year we worked with schools that collectively serve almost 16,000 students from kindergarten to twelfth grade. Each school has learned how to make improvements based on the patterns they are seeing in their own data. Their solutions to problems are trauma-informed and are making a difference.
- A high school has dropped the number of incidents of harassment by 50%
- An elementary school has helped students with the most challenges so much that time out of class has been reduced by 70%
- In every Sound Discipline school, students are learning to self-regulate and be helpful not hurtful.
These students are the future of our community. We are honored to have you standing alongside us to support the critical role of educators. Thank you!
PS - On September 27th, we’ll tour Honey Dew Elementary school in Renton, from 10:00-11:30. The kids there are truly remarkable, and we’d love to show you how successful the school is. This is an informal Save the Date, and we’ll send out reminders in late summer about this tour.
