2019 CLTA-WA Conference—Dr. Wei-ling Wu will lead a full-day workshop at the University of Washington, in Seattle, August 17, 2019. Participants will learn various communicative tasks and effective strategies that can be used for students of different ages and proficiency levels. Learn more and register.

Summer 2019 in Beijing—Co-sponsored by the Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CILFTE) at Teachers College, Columbia University and the Division of Chinese International Education at Beijing Language and Culture University, the Summer 2019 TCSOL/TESOL Summer Dual Certificate Program in Beijing is currently accepting applications.
 
CARLA Summer Institutes—This internationally known program reflects CARLA's commitment to link research and theory with practical applications for the classroom. Each institute is highly interactive and includes discussion, theory-building, hands-on activities, and networking opportunities. Registration is now open. (CARLA is the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition at the University of Minnesota.)
 
2019 Chinese Bridge Delegation—The College Board is pleased to announce the 2019 Chinese Bridge Delegation, a weeklong program (October 20–29, 2019) in China to help educators start or strengthen their institution's Chinese programs and partnerships. Highlights include school visits, cultural activities and educational workshops. Leaders from K–12 institutions are invited to apply for this unique educational visit to China. Priority application deadline: July 26, 2019
 
Franklin R. Buchanan Prize—The Association for Asian Studies invites submissions for the Franklin R. Buchanan Prize, awarded annually to recognize an outstanding curriculum publication on Asia designed for any educational level, elementary through university. Deadline: November 1, 2019
