As part of our mission to educate, Falls Church Arts (FCA) is excited to be the first gallery to exhibit this unique collection of Egyptian contemporary art  created by well known and established artists from the Luxor, Alexandria, and Cairo regions of Egypt. This show is a collaboration with the Divine Art of Egypt Project, Cairo. These artworks were created over the last several weeks on papyrus, especially for this exhibition, the first of its kind in the United States.

Moushera (Sheri) Maaraba, founder of the Divine Arts of Egypt Project, and Barb Cram of Falls Church Arts have collaborated since January to develop this project from concept through logistics and final exhibition. The exhibit is the first international collaborative art project for Falls Church Arts and the first for Sheri’s Divine Art of Egypt Project here in the United States. Sheri will be presenting a short video, "The Legacy of Egyptian Art—Then and Now," which will include interviews with the show's exhibiting artists.

This exhibit welcomes honored guests from the Egyptian Embassy in the District of Columbia and the American Research Center for Egypt in Alexandria and Annapolis, National Geographic, and our members, supporters, and guests.
