PodSummit recap

We had lots of great conversations and learned a ton from last weekend's PodSummit at Fort Calgary.

Man-of-many-podcasts Kyle Marshall did a great job of emceeing, and it was nice to see Luiza Campos on stage to pitch A Branded World (along with This is Adulting and The Nerd Room), while Lucia Juliao of Repodcasting was the official photographer.
Justin Jackson of Transistor spoke at PodSummit on June 22 and had some kind words about That's a Thing?!, your correspondent's podcast.
Here were our main takeaways and the speakers' slides, courtesy of PodSummit:

APN news

  • Fawnda Mithrush of I Don't Get It was among the mentors at the latest interVivos event.
  • Shane Fennessey of City of Champions was featured in MacEwan University's online magazine.
  • Linda Hoang of Don't Call Me a Guru got a mention for her Edmonton International Cat Festival in Forbes.
  • Your correspondent was on CBC Radio Active again, this time recommending music podcasts. Next appearance is July 8 at 5:40 p.m.
  • German Villegas of Modern Manhood got married!
