We Are Taking A Break:
At This Time We Will No Longer Offer
LIVE ONLINE TRAININGS & FORUMS

Starting July 2019, the Center for Family and Community Engagement (CFACE) is taking a break from our live online training workshops and forums. We are continuously looking for ways to put family-centered practice at the heart of everything we do. Therefore, we are going back to the drawing board to re-evaluate our live online trainings in order to ensure that what we offer is what is most needed in our community.

We are still strongly dedicated to providing training opportunities that support our wonderful community. While, for now, we will no longer offer our live online trainings and forums, we still offer a variety of in-person and on-demand trainings.

Everyone here at CFACE greatly appreciates all our previous and returning live online training and forum participants. We hope to provide these kinds of trainings again in the future, and to maintain our relationship with you all throughout this process, as we say goodbye to our live online trainings and forums at this time. We also hope you join us either in-person or in our on-demand courses in the future!

What About The Online Resources?

Some of the resources from past live online trainings and forums will be available in the future. We are currently in the process of compiling all past live online resources, so that they are not lost during this process. Some resources will be available on our website, while others will become available in our fantastic in-person training courses.

Learning to Support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Questioning and more Youth in Substitute Care

Check out this updated on-demand training!

In this training, you will explore four on-demand lessons or "modules." Each module has different learning objectives that are designed to give resource parents and social workers a foundation for supporting youth in their care who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, questioning, or more (LGBTQ+).

You will also hear a panel, made up of both professionals and LGBTQ+ foster youth, answer questions about working with (or being) LGBTQ+ youth in the foster care system.

On-demand trainings are free, self-paced, online, and certificate-bearing.
