Share your ideas for new bills and policies with state lawmakers

Hurry to submit feedback to Opioid and Substance Use Disorders Study Committee by June 25

Colorado's leaders already are thinking about new policies that will support and enhance the fight against the opioid crisis and the prescription drug abuse epidemic.

Starting July 9, the Interim Opioid and Other Substance Use Disorders Study Committee will meet to review Colorado's progress fighting the epidemic and consider potential new policies and legislation. Committee leadership is interested in stakeholder input to identify the gaps in prevention, intervention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery resources, and to identify possible legislative options to address those gaps.

There will be opportunities throughout the summer for stakeholders to provide feedback, but a crucial deadline is almost here -- the committee needs "recommendations for policy and practice solutions" by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25.
