The COOP Way
The Co-operative Way is a 15 mile route around the northern part of the city. It takes in a wide range of parks and green spaces, as well a lot of historical features. To make the route more accessible we have broken down the route into 7 sections to be completed over the coming months.
These walks can be a little more challenging than our regular walks. Each walk takes approximately 60-90 minutes. Please note that some walks will not return to the starting point.
1. Central Park to Honicknowle Lane via Ham Woods (Linear).
Saturday 29th June at 10:30am.
Meet outside the Life Centre entrance. This walk has some challenging inclines and terrain, sensible footwear essential.
2. Whitleigh Green to Honicknowle Lane (Linear).
Saturday 13th July at 10:30am
Meet at Whitleigh Green shops, Budshead Rd, PL5 4DE
3. Whitleigh Green to Crownhill Fort Via Woodland Wood (Linear).
Saturday 27th July at 10:30am
Meet at Whitleigh Green shops, Budshead Rd, PL5 4DE
4. Crownhill Fort to Bircham Valley (Circular).
Saturday 10th August at 10:30am.
Meet at the entrance to Crownhill Fort, Crownhill Fort Rd, PL6 5BX.
This walk has some challenging inclines and terrain, sensible footwear essential.
5. Asda – Forder Valley (Circular).
Saturday 24th August at 10:30am.
Meet at main entrance to Asda superstore, Leypark Dr, PL6 8TB.

6. Hender’s Corner to Eggbuckland Road (Linear).
Saturday 7th September at 10:30am.
Meet at Hender’s Corner, Eggbuckland Rd, PL3 5HE.
7. Central Park to Mutley/Thorne Park (Circular).
Saturday 21st September at 10:30am
