Alliance to End Hunger Opposes the Administration’s Proposal to Change the Poverty Measure

While a reexamination of the antiquated poverty measure is in order, the Alliance to End Hunger believes the Administration’s proposal would lead to a less accurate measure of poverty. Alliance to End Hunger - AmeriCorps VISTA

The Alliance to End Hunger is seeking full-time AmeriCorps VISTAs to support the work of building the public will to end hunger. The Alliance does this by supporting the Hunger Free Communities (HFC) Network. The HFC Network is the signature U.S. program of the Alliance to End Hunger. Made up of community-based anti-hunger coalitions, referred to as “Hunger Free Communities,” the network is comprised of 75 groups around the country. Farm Journal Foundtion - HungerU

The Farm Journal Foundation is seeking individuals (recent college graduates) interested in a part-time, seasonal employment opportunity in the Washington D.C. area. This is a contract, seasonal position that will begin September 9 and end November 1. Among other duties, the HungerU Ambassador will serve as point person for HungerU’s weekly mobile exhibits at universities, college campuses, and the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) convention in late October.
