Please join us on 7/7 (July 7) to raise awareness of the worst deforestation on record this past May 2019. Bee Save Movement has been launched as part of Climate Save Movement, with the goal of protecting some of the smallest beings we share this planet with and help solve the climate crisis by helping the bees survive. Animal agriculture is a key source of pesticides, which are one of the main reasons bees are going extinct. Honey is another industry that is harming the bees at a mass scale. Veganism is a critical part of important actions for the bees and our future.
The first Bee Save group is Copenhagen Bee Save, and now they're joined by a second group:
Welcome Cordoba Bee Save (Argentina). Find them on Facebook and Instagram.

The Save Movement in the Media
Watch: Lehigh Valley Animal Save organizers speak for the animals on the set of the 69News TV station following the release of the ARM undercover investigation at the Fair Oaks Farm dairy farm.
Animal Recovery Mission has made public their latest undercover investigation, which exposes severe animal abuse at a dairy farm. Please watch.
"On June 4, Animal Recovery Mission released disturbing footage of one of its most grueling factory farm investigations to date. Initiated in 2018, an ARM undercover investigator captured surveillance evidence of the systematic and horrific animal abuse that is occurring at the Fair Oaks Farm’s Dairy Farm Adventures, located in Indiana. Owned and operated by Mike and Sue McCloskey, under the Fair Life Corporation, Fair Oaks Farms not only stands as one of the largest dairy farm corporations in the United States, but it has also repeatedly and publicly, prided itself as ‘acting as a window to the agriculture world’ by providing complete transparency into the everyday operations of a dairy farm."

Our mission: The Climate Save Movement is a worldwide network of climate action groups aiming to end animal agriculture and transition to a just and vegan, plant-based food system, reforest the Earth and phase out fossil fuels to address the climate emergency.
Animal agriculture is a key source of greenhouse gas emissions, which can all be eliminated entirely. It is also the leading source of ocean dead zones, deforestation, mass species extinction, and excessive water use. Veganism and reforestation are critical parts of climate actions and, along with eliminating fossil fuels, are our last hope against catastrophic tipping points for our climate.

Metro UK: The real threat to the ocean is the fish on your plate – not the straw in your drink
"If we really want to stem the tide of plastic pollution that’s choking our oceans and killing marine animals, we’d be a lot better off banishing cod and tuna from our plates. This is because fishing and the rubbish it generates inflicts far more harm on wildlife than straws or plastic bags ever will."

Popular Science: Why plant protein is better for you than animal protein
"...study after study shows that meat as a protein source just isn’t that healthy. It’s far better to get that necessary protein from plants."

Save Organizing Tour activists Gisela and Nevenka report from the vegan food tasting they held on June 6 in collaboration with São Paulo Health Save (Brazil): "We carried a vegan food tasting with free samples for passers-by at the famous Paulista Avenue in São Paulo. Caroline baked 'tuna' and legumes pies and also chocolate and carrot cakes. Lots of people showed interest in what we were doing, many of them were vegetarians in transition to veganism. They enjoyed and complimented the food."

ASIA
INDIA
Organizers David and Anni report from their ongoing Save Organizing Tour of India: "We started the 6-month tour in February. So far we have visited 12 locations, with four still to go. We have covered cities in middle and north India, where we have helped set up 13 Save groups. In each location we are giving two workshops, doing a vigil, joining local activism and often doing a Cube of Truth. In addition to this we have been giving presentations about veganism at several schools, colleges and seminars, and we have been covered in several local media channels, including The Times of India. The reception from locals has been great, and it is amazing to see how fast veganism and activism is growing in India! We also visited Kathmandu in Nepal, and helped with starting up the first Save group there, Kathmandu Climate Save."

Welcome Kerala Animal Save. Find them on Instagram.

They report about the chicken they rescued: "This is Pamela. She was rescued from going to slaughter. One day she stopped laying eggs and she became useless to the house members. They decided to sell her to the neighbourhood slaughterhouse. We went to that home and convinced them to send her with us instead. She is currently enjoying her life of freedom with us at Ahimsa Vegan Sanctuary. She found a new companion in Diana."

Surat Animal Save report from their visit to a dairy farm: "How would you feel if you were tied to a small rope from your birth till you die? We visited a dairy farm in Surat and the owner himself told us this bitter truth."

They held their first vigil on May 27 at the Guldfågeln AB slaughter plant. They report: "From Monday's vigil, here we have terrible and unnecessary violence, where over 100,000 chickens lose their lives everyday. Each truck transports about 10,000 chickens."

Colne Animal Save bore witness outside the Woodhead Bros "Meat" Co. slaughter plant . Woodhead is owned by Morrisons, which proclaims on its website: "Morrisons is still the only UK supermarket to own its own abattoir and meat processing operations."
This is their report: "Unfortunately, today, they broke their agreement with us and would not stop any trucks. We will be following this up with their management. We watched, helpless, as truck after truck, drove hundreds of sentient, innocent beings to their deaths."

Cheshire East Animal Save report from their May 17 vigil: "This morning we held our first vigil at Highbury Poultry in Whitchurch. 75,000 chickens on 12 trucks arrived to be dragged through electric water baths and have their throats slit 💔 Unfortunately the slaughterhouse were uncooperative so it was difficult for us to bear witness to the chickens. Towards the end of the vigil, however, we did manage to start some dialogue with the manager who we can hopefully arrange an agreement with for future vigils 💚"

Toronto Pig Save started in December 2010, with a promise to the pigs of doing a minimum of three vigils and vegan outreach events each week, all year round. We bear witness as a community of pigs, cows, chickens and other farmed animal victims in slaughterhouse trucks. The animals want us to be present and, with the most pleading eyes, ask for our help when we see them through the portholes of transport trucks. Just as if we were in those horrid trucks, we would want the whole community to be there fighting for our freedom, liberation, rights, and equality. In a way, we are there. All life is one and, “when (wo)men wish to harm others, they really do evil to themselves,” Leo Tolstoy said in his animal rights story “Esarhaddon, King of Assyria”. It’s our positive duty and obligation to act in the present to try to stop the most egregious injustices before us.

"When the suffering of another creature causes you to feel pain, do not submit to the initial desire to flee from the suffering one, but on the contrary, come closer, as close as you can to her who suffers, and try to help her.” – Leo Tolstoy

In 8 years, The Save Movement has grown to over 660 Save groups in 70 countries around the world. Our dream is to have regular vigils at every slaughter plant worldwide. We regularly give seed money to new Save groups and require funds for literature, posters, subway ad campaigns (iVegan.ca) and vegan outreach events.

Make animal liberation your priority in life! Think of 10 kind things you can do each day and encourage your friends to do the same! Join us and participate in our weekly vigils, start a Save group in your community, and be a regular donor.
