Sharing the Father's Love!

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!..“
Galatians 5:13

Guatemala Outreach

Last week I had the incredible honor of taking William to a small town in Guatemala for his first missions trip. Though for many years he had always gone along with us on our many outreaches we did with a variety of teams over the years, he had always gone as one of our kids as opposed to an active member of a team. We went to a town called San Miguel Chicaj and Baja Verapaz, Guatemala and got to serve for 8 days with the local YWAM base. Our focus throughout the week was to "Share the Father's Love" with the little ones of the town.
Throughout the week, we got to present our program in various schools around town, got the minister to children in the central park (and pray over a Boy Scouts troop!), lead Sunday school at church, paint a large portion of the walls on the YWAM base, minister to a group of young adults, and various times throughout the week we got to go on a prayer walk and intercede for the town. In total, we were able to minister to over 600 children as well as 100 youth and adults. 61 people gave their lives to Jesus and committed to developing a deeper relationship with Him through prayer, reading the Bible, and living a life of integrity and honor.
Probably one of my personal favorite moments of the whole outreach, besides seeing how God used us on daily basis, was watching William come out of our shadows and take his own place in ministry. He served many times as a translator (shown in the photo above), but also was very involved in prayer and initiating conversation with random people in the park and the schools. I don't think I will ever forget the moment I looked up during our prayer walk and saw him in the front of the group with his hands on the wall of a school praying for the children and teachers inside. For me, it was a clear "Mastercard moment" that Juli and I have longed to see take place!

Noble Life at Transformation Church

Throughout the month of June and into the first few weeks of July, we will be teaching a 7 week series at Transformation Church on "How to Live Out the Great Commission in Our Everyday Lives". This is the first time that we have taught a joint series and it certainly marks the first time we have ever taught in a sunday school setting. We launched the series talking about Daniel and how he impacted the Babylon nation by his influence on the Kings he served under. Juli then spoke on family and the importance of recognizing the power of our words spoken over our children and family members. Then this past weekend David spoke on prayer and the importance of releasing His presence over our situations and spending more time in prayer as opposed to complaining about difficult situations. This coming Sunday Juli will be speaking on the power and importance of being relevant in our communities and meeting needs in a practical way. If you are in the Northern Houston area and would like to join us, our 1 hour class starts at 9am. You can email us or click on the above picture for directions.
