1. What are the essentials of Christian worship? (June 30)
2. The Fruit and the Leaves of the Tree of Life (July 7)
3. The Bible and the Central Things (July 14)
4. Central Things: The Word and the Prayers (July 21)
5. Central Things: The Table and the Sending (July 28)
6. Central Things: The Bath and the Assembly (August 4)
7. Style, Ceremony, and Purpose in Doing the Central Things (August 11)
On Sunday, June 23 we will introduce the study, distribute books, consider an early church document, and lay the foundation for the course.
For this study, we will use Dr. Gordon Lathrop’s book, Central Things: Worship in Word and Sacrament. The book is available for purchase (paperback) for $10.

THE WAY: ANIMATE FAITH

6:30 - 8 p.m. in the Church Library
Cantor Mark Mummert, facilitator
The next cross-generational (youth and adults together)
faith formation offering at Trinity Church
- Have you thought about going deeper with a small group in conversations about faith and life?
- Have you wanted to go through a study leading to your own affirmation of faith?
- Is your schedule complicated, making it difficult to attend many consecutive weeks of classes?
Beginning last fall, Trinity Church began offering this series of seven-session courses designed to go deeper into topics of Christian faith and life.
Each of the seven sessions includes a facilitator, guiding us in discussions about topics central to Christian faith. Each session includes a video of a current pastor, teacher, or theologian introducing the topic and prompting our inquiry.
This course is designed to be engaged by confirmation age youth, high school and college students, and all adults.
There is no charge for this course offering. All are welcome. These conversations and groups are a safe place for anyone to ask questions, express doubts and fears, and explore the faith of the church in God through Christ Jesus.
Direct your questions about these adult faith formation offerings to Cantor Mark Mummert at his email or his phone at 508-753-2989 ext. 12
